Using our Transfer Students functionality you’ll be able to transfer students between schools within your district who are Class Composer customers.

If you’re transferring classes, or an entire grade level, it’s recommended to do a download of the data from the sending school’s Digital Data Wall.
Placement Requests DO NOT transfer so it’s helpful to have this output to add the requests in after the transfer has occurred.
Here are the steps and requirements to ensure students can be transferred successfully:
Each school, sending and receiving, will need to confirm the correct school district has been entered in their account. Even if the district name is displayed go through the steps described next to ensure it is tagged correctly in our database. Go to Account Info > District > Edit > start typing your school district’s name > select the correct name displayed:

To ensure each school is selecting the correct drop down option:
Go to National Center for Education Statistics site: Search for Public School Districts and follow the steps highlighted below:

Each school will need to confirm the labels for the Identifiers and Assessments are the same. This includes the abbreviations and full text. Also, confirm each school has similar grade levels selected for the Identifiers and Assessments. All is recommended:

Each school will need to ensure they are in the same year setting:

Go to All Students > select student/s to transfer > Transfer Students.

Select destination (receiving) school > Next > Select grade level teacher or Hallway >Transfer Students:
